Doc || Children Full of Life

Children Full of Life is an incredible documentary I found on Top Documentary Films. It follows 4th grade students at a school in Kanazawa, northwest of Tokyo, Japan. It shows the incredible passion that their teacher, Mr. Kanamori has for his kids. He focuses on more abstract lessons as a opposed to the more traditional ones. Mr. Kanamori spotlights on building community, the power of friendship and the joys of learning. By doing so the children in his class enjoy school and thrive for information. We are able to see how the kids are so engaged. It is crucial for children to love learning. When we emphasis too much on grades they get discouraged from the true purpose of schooling.
